The record, in order
- 1970s
London — acknowledged, not trained
At the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain, Paula was recognised as an already fully-fledged medium requiring no training. In the same years she studied handwriting analysis, which she still uses every day.
- 1978
New York, and a live television show
Within months of arriving she was hosting her own live call-in local television programme and had begun practising as a clairvoyant counsellor.
- 1984
The General Wayne Inn
Her first investigation with Dr. Michaeleen Maher. Paula immediately ‘saw’ the Hessian soldier hiding in the cellar. The case was later filmed by Unsolved Mysteries — series 1, episode 7 — and remains available online.
- 1984–90s
Published through the ASPR
Dr. Maher published the results of their many joint investigations through the American Society for Psychical Research.
- 1988–2022
The New York Post, every January
Cindy Adams printed Paula’s New Year predictions for thirty-four consecutive years, and called her ‘my favourite psychic’.
- 1996
Ingo Swann and the remote viewing
Introduced by Dr. Maher, Paula ‘saw and heard’ the issues in Swann’s own home; the two became close friends. With no training or forewarning she remote-viewed the Grand Pyramid and the Moon, and became aware that her findings reached various government agencies.
- Halloween
The Official Houdini Séance
Paula was chosen as the medium for one of the Official Halloween Séances for Houdini in New York, and has conducted a full live traditional séance.
- 2024
Fox News, and then Saturday Night Live
On 2 January 2024 Paula appeared on Jesse Watters Primetime and predicted that Trump would suffer a great many losses. The segment went viral worldwide, and on 27 January — Paula’s birthday — Saturday Night Live spoofed it. She was, as it happens, right.
